Birthday Time

Even though my birthday isn't until Monday, I have decided to have my birthday party this weekend, so obviously I can NOT wait until tomorrow night. It is always nice to have an excuse to get all of your friends together for a night of drinks, dancing and togetherness:) I can't wait to see everyone and celebrate my birthday a few days early.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Today is a very exciting day for me! Over the past few weeks I have started to fill my spare time with making delicately, beautiful wire rings! At first this little hobby was just to make me happy and add to my personal jewelry collection, but over the past week I have started to have people asking me where I got them and how they can order them...

SO I have decided to share some of my pictures with my lovely followers to see if you or anyone you know would like some as well:) Take a look at some of the pictures and let me know what you think!

A few of my LOVE rings and a special order for a friend reminding us all to live in the moment.

Closet Lusting

So, since the weather is having major issues making up it's mind...it's only inevitable that my wardrobe is too, right? To be honest, my room is pretty tiny, so organization is a key to fitting everything in it. Every piece of clothing has a place, and as the weather starts to get warm certain items are getting moved from boxes under my bed, into my lovely closet. And by lovely I mean small, tight, and jam packed closet. I am trying to keep everything organized, but it is beginning  to get a little ridiculous in there...any organizational advice is appreciated (and believe me I consider myself a neat freak...so if I am asking for ideas it's definitely because I need it)....

...or perhaps I should just get one of these closets....hey, a girl can dream can't she?

I mean seriously, at what point in your life do you get these types of closets...Let's be real, most of them are the actual size of my bedroom. I am quite envious of these images via

Even though the weather has started to get a little chilly, I am still enjoying dressing up to go to work! I have been loving wearing some of my bright skirts, that have been tucked away during the dark winter months, and loving wearing flats and sandals! Recipe: Mango Chicken and Rice

Last night one of my best friends, Morgan, came over for dinner. We have recently started cooking meals together and always seems to create something delicious! Last night's meal was amazing, and the best part was we stumbled on it by using ingredients we already had. After about thirty minutes of catching up over the stove, we grabbed our food and brought it down to my balcony to drink some strawberry sangria and watch the sun set! Perfect night.

Our lovely meal:

What you need:
- Chicken breast
- About a cup of corn
- 1 cup of rice
-1 can of black beans
-Half an onion
-1 Lemon
-1 can of salsa of your choice
- Olive Oil
- Butter
- 2 cups of water

What to do:

1. Rub butter and olive oil over the chicken breast and place in oven at 350 for 30 minutes
2. Pour the can of salsa into a pan and let simmer
3. Once the salsa comes to a boil add the corn
4. Squeeze 1 lemon's juice into the mixture
5. Shred the chicken and add the the simmering mixture
5. Add beans to the mixture
let sit at a simmer while you make the rice...

How to make the rice:

1. Messure 1 cup of rice
2. Measure 2 cups of water
3. Mix and let boil until the water is gone

Pour the delicious mixture over the rice and serve.

Ta Da!

Pour a bottle of Skinny Girl Sangria in with whatever fruit you like, we opted for Strawberries (it makes it taste better, if that is possible):

Then we decided to make some sugar cookies with Rollos for dessert. Random choice, but it was pretty delish as well.

Overall, not a bad evening. The weather was great and it is always fun to catch up with friends. I'm going to try to cook one amazing meal each week with random ingredients I have in my kitchen and post the recipes....Hopefully I can follow through with this because so far the past two meals Morgan and I have whipped up have been very easy, quick, inexpensive, and tasty! Can't wait to share more!

Last week before my mom and I went to try on her dress, we made a quick stop by Barneys to look at shoes for her wedding. While I must admit, it is incredibly hard to go to the Barneys shoe department and solely look for wedding shoes, we had a lot of luck and I think she found the perfect shoe!

Here are some of the finalist for the big day:

Some amazingly fabulous shoes that I fell in love with while attempting to focus on my mom (I mean can you blame me?)

Soft and Sweet for Spring

When my mom was visiting last week, she brought me some fresh peonies for my room.

I have been obsessing over pretty, pink and girly tones lately....Here are some ideas to add some pink tones for spring. Sigh, I'm in love....

Obviously, pink flowers are such an easy way to add a beautiful pop to any room! I love everything about the bedroom picture too, the lamp, the quilt, the walls and the headboard are all amazing. And who wouldn't lot the amazing pink toned painting. I am totally going to have to incorporate some of these ideas into my place. I'll let you know how they go.
