Wedding Wednesday

You are cordially invited to...

Well, I have been organizing all of our invitation goodies over the past few weeks and have decided to post about some of my favorite invites. Paper goods are such an important part of a wedding, they really set the tone for the big day before it arrives. It's important to do something creative, classy, timeless and unique to give your guest a sneak peak into your special day.

These last four are my  favorite...one day...I know they are a little girly, but seriously, how beautiful are they! So delicate and unique. A girl can dream can't she?

Hope you enjoy, let me know what favorites are yours?

Inslee Haynes

Well, December is only two days away and that means the holidays are fast approaching. I have been on the look out for Christmas gifts for everyone on my list and have recently come across Inslee Haynes, an amazing sketch artist. I can't get over her beautifully designed images that truly capture both the personality and style of her subjects. I can't wait to get one of my sisters done! I was planning on doing a picture for a family Christmas gift, but I think I am going to wait it out until father's day so that my baby sister can get a little bigger for the picture! Here are some examples of her amazing work:

I especially love the last one. So chic, yet so cozy looking. Makes me want to put on a ball gown and waltz around my apartment. What is your favorite?

Design Inspiration

I have been trying to redo our living room for about a week now, and now that the craziness of Thanksgiving has calmed down, I think I will be able to get it done! I have so many ideas of how I want our living room area to look, I just need to take some time to actually put my plans into action. Here is some inspiration that has been helping me:

I love white rooms. I have this amazing white pottery barn couch, with some white shelving and a big dark asian inspired tv stand. I love the simplicity that white brings to a room, and how you can make it look stunning with the accessories. Right now we are waiting on some big dark wood chairs with large white cushions, and then I am debating painting our coffee table a metalicy gold. The shells are simply because the beach is always in some way my inspiration for any of my rooms.

Weekend Recap

The past few days have been so much fun. I finally got to see my moms new house, and the town she is living in is adorable! I ate so much food I think I am going to have to fast until christmas, enjoyed the company of family and loved cuddling with my dogs.

Chagrin Falls, Ohio

Ruby and Lulu and their new friend. There are horse right down the street from our house!

Thanksgiving dinner, take two, so much food!!

Lots of time with loved ones, always great to see my family! After dinner last night we spent a few hours playing some games and sitting by the bon fire roasting marshmallows! Great way to end the weekend.

A little excitement for the next holiday...I love everything about this season! I can't wait until Christmas.

How was your weekend?

Breathe

Finally, it feels like I have time to relax and actually enjoy some time off. Thanksgiving was amazing but there was so much going on it was hard to have a minute to relax. Today I plan on doing just that. A little morning yoga, a walk by the stables up the street from our house, and then a little more eating (since I haven't done enough of that already).

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Happy Weekend!

These past few days have been crazy. Wednesday I got on a plane headed towards St. Louis to visit some family. It was a great way to spend Thanksgiving and I was so happy to see my family since it has been a long time since we have all been together. After the extended family time it was time this morning, to hop on another plane and head to Ohio for the weekend to be with my mom and her fiance. We have yet another feast tomorrow with our small family.

I have so much to be thankful for this year. New family members, new job, new apartment, amazing friends and family, and all the small joys that life throws my way- I really could not be happier right now.

What are you thankful for this year?

Wedding Wednesday

Since Thanksgiving is tomorrow I thought that I would share some of my favorite fall wedding ideas today. Enjoy!
Love this idea for escort cards. The sparkle on the cloths pins are magical.

The colors on this table are so warm and fall like!

LOVE the wine bottle with the table number, so creative.

 Favorite fall bouquet.

This seating area looks comfortable with the soft, warm fall tones.
Another table arrangement that just screams fall. Beautiful.

Fun take home idea.

I just love fall colors, so warm and inviting. Perfect time of year for a beautiful wedding day.
What is your favorite fall wedding idea?

The Little RED Dress

With the holidays fast approaching I have been seriously searching for the perfect holiday cocktail dress. I have decided to wear my j.crew skirt for Thanksgiving this year, but now I have to find the perfect Christmas dress. One, preferably, that I can wear for multiple holiday parties and dress it up with different accessories each time. I have decided to go with a red dress this year...Here are some of my final picks:

My dream red dress...too expensive but I still love it.

What is your favorite? I am leaning towards the Ruffle Red Dress. I think I could get a lot of use out of it, plus it has big ruffles, need I say more.

Calm, Cool, and Collected

I hope that everyone has been enjoying their weekend. I know have had the best time, going out with some friends and lounging around. It has truly been a great weekend. I have also been loving these candles from diptyque. They smell amazing and have been making my apartment smell like roses all day long. They have been a highlight to my weekend for sure. What was a favorite of your weekend?

My Dream Home

Today at work I was digging through some old design books to get inspiration for a client's wedding and I became completely obsessed with Margaret Russell and Elle Decor. We have so many of her books here in the office and one caught my eye, and I have literally spent the last half an hour digging through it and creating my own dream house. Take a look:

Love the comfy feel of this Tricia Foley family room.

London designer Fruzsina Keehn's living room.

Designer Darryl Carter creates an amazing dining room space.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild's Manhattan kitchen.

Love the colors in designer Anne Becker's loft.

Bunny William's creates such a soft romantic vibe in the bedroom...

Wouldn't mind getting dressed in this closet...sigh, Jeffry Weisman and Andrew Fisher.

Not the most glamorous bathroom, but I love the beachy vibe.

Seriously, this book is amazing, but then again I wouldn't expect anything less from Margaret Russell. Any favorites?
